Skills
- EE140: Designed CMOS amplifiers to meet given specifications (combinations of gain, power consumption, bandwidth, and settling time). Used HSPICE for simulation and analysis.
- CS150: Developed a network router for transmitting and receiving PCM audio data over ethernet. Implemented on Xilinx VirtexE FPGAs; coded in Verilog; simulated with ModelSim; additional debugging with ChipScope.
- (EE) Spectre, Cadence suite, MATLAB, Simulink; (CS) C, Java, MIPS assembly, OpenGL.
- also: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, XML, XSLT, XPath, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash.
Experience
Berkeley Wireless Research Center - U.C. Berkeley
Multi-Carrier Multi-Antenna Systems Group: August 2004 - Present
Research Assistant
- Developed a module to serially program an ADC/DAC chip and multiple PLLs. Included button and jumper interfaces to change settings on demand. Implemented on Xilinx Virtex-IIP FPGAs. Designed and tested with MATLAB / Simulink (using the Xilinx blockset for Simulink).
- Learned the workings of the board and vital components through schematics and datasheets.
- Tested basic functionality with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers.
Academic Talent Development Program - U.C. Berkeley
Advanced Internet Classroom: Summers 2000 - 2003
Lead Instructor 2003, Assistant Instructor 2002
- Developed the lesson plan and adapted it to changing web technologies.
- Managed a team of teaching assistants.
- Instructed and evaluated classes of twenty junior-high- and high-school students.
- Created and maintained the class website.
